  1. Carrie, your new home is adorable and you take amazing pictures!
I'm glad you and Kyle are well and settled down and wish you all the best. If you're ever in Bavaria, let me know (:

  2. Sophia: Thank you! On a completely unrelated note: I ordered pizza in semi-decent German today (with an acceptable enough accent that I was understood, anyhow) and thought to myself "Sophia would be proud." ;)

  4. Candance: Thank you! :) It's been a huge effort these past few weeks to make our little apartment feel like home, but I think it's paying off.

Also, I'm thrilled you stopped by! Thanks so much!

  8. Lexa: I accumulate things very slowly. I started collecting teh teapots when I found the small white and purple one at a thrift store back in Kentucky. I stumbled upon the rest in the past year or so. Some were gifts.

The pillow cases were a complete accident. I was searching for gifts for someone else and found the boldloft website. I highly reccommend it. It's chocked full of goodies! I also have a pair of coffee mugs from there. :)

  9. Carrie, so nice to see you settling into your new digs. I love the teapots and the elephants (I have a few of my own!) Nice shots of the pearls too. AND of course my favourite part --- the bookcases. I remember how good it felt when I added a pair (very similar set up to yours) in our living room; and all my special reads were in one special place. So happy for you!

  17. Carrie, you are a great interior designer. I am endlessly fascinated by the jewellery box and the amazing bookcases. Furthermore, your teapot selection is an envy of my flatmate's as she also loves and collects them. I hope you'll show us more pictures of your wonderful new home :)

  21. I am so jealous of your bookshelf! And the pillowcases. And also the whole fact that you are living in Germany. We are considering moving there someday, maybe in the next 10 years hopefully. Is it worth it?

  22. The book cases are amazing!!! Remember the ones I bought from you? Well I have lost the little thingy's that hold the shelves :/ And now I have the 'little room' painted and ready for decorating and I cant put up my book shelves.

  23. Daleen: Germany is incredible. However, it was reletively easy for me to move here. The Army took care of almost everything... So for us? Definitely worth it. For someone moving on their own... I wouldn't be a good judge.

Jon: I posted on your fb wall about the shelves.

  24. My favorite part of your house is your bookcase corner! I love books and I’ll surely build a space like this in our new house too! I can only imagine how beautiful your house is! I hope you’d post a picture of your entire house.

  25. I can only imagine how elegant your new home is! The list of your “little things” says it all! Anyway, are all those your books? Have you read each book? I can’t imagine how big your new house is! You made a good purchase! Congrats!
