  15. Carrie, My dad was stationed there when my parents first got married. My dad bought a painting off a student while they were there and I grew up looking at that castle and those bridges every day in our living room. Now I look at it everyday when I wake up as its the first thing I see in the morning. I remember stories my parents told us about their time in Germany, it seemed so romantic and like a wonderful place to live.

  18. Julie: I am obsessed with how cute all the little building fronts are. They're all covered in flowers and painted in bright colors. I'm not used to ordinary cities being so pretty! Back home everything is just concrete and metal. ;)

4W: It is romantic. The whole thing just oozes fairy tale possibility. It FEELS magic, even if it really isn't. ;) You should totally make the trip if you get the chance. :)

  19. Carrie, so happy you are getting the chance to really expeience Germany. We were there in 2004 and loved every minute of it. We were in Heidleberg and stayed right down near the big bridge. Germany does have that fairy tale feel to it.And how perfect for you and your sweetheart to be experiencing it together!
